ABOUT ME
Edina Hiser is a professional costume and production designer based in Los Angeles. She has been working in the entertainment industry for over 6 years, with experience in theatre, opera, live performance, television, film, commercials, photoshoots and more. Described by multiple producers as a “swiss army knife” of a designer, Edina uses the knowledge she has accumulated throughout her career to creatively problem solve and improve collaboration with her fellow artists and filmmakers. She is known for a bold approach to design that emphasizes and incorporates color, pattern, and texture to support her storytelling.
In 2019, before graduating from the University of Southern California with a BFA in Theatre Design, Edina was appointed as the resident costume designer of USC Thornton’s opera department with whom she continues to collaborate. In addition to her work at USC, her stage credits include Central City Opera’s 2021 productions of Rigoletto and Carousel and their 2022 production of A Light in the Piazza, IAMA Theatre Company’s FOUND, and more. She has also costumed several independent films projects and has begun her journey in the world of streaming television as a costume production assistant for Taylor Sheridan’s 1923 and J.J. Abrams’s Duster. Edina has also acted as a Production designer, art director, and artisan for numerous short films and television projects. She art directed the LA location of the 2020 Tomorrowland virtual music festival and the 2021 production of Delusion: Reaper’s Remorse, and fabricated props for Nat Geo’s Something Bit Me, to name a few.
Edina is, at her core, an avid storyteller and collaborator who is determined to connect to audiences through visual design, no matter the format or position that she holds on a team.
